New Year - New Venue...PLUS A trip to India and a course in Ashtanga Yoga

Happy New Year Yogis!!

I hope you’ve all had a fabulous holiday! I don’t know about you, but I’ve really missed our classes... Looking forward to starting up again on Monday!

I’m very excited to announce that yoga classes in Clunes will now be held in a beautiful, spacious, private, light-filled room above the new Information Centre/Library ('The Warehouse') in Collins Place. Details of how to get there are listed below.

There are a few other things up my sleeve for this year...

My house at Moozhikulum Sala
I’m looking into putting together a yoga trip to Kerala, India. I’ve been asked to be a guest teacher at the village where I studied my initial teacher training and I’d LOVE to take some of you along. Here’s a link to the accommodation we may be using: http://www.moozhikkulamsala.org/

The Kerala winter will be the best time weather-wise - it’s still pretty warm, but not oppressively hot. So it's likely to be during the December/January holidays. I’m thinking it’ll be a 14 day trip, with possible visits to the tea plantations, a houseboat trip (for which Kerala is famous), temple visits and elephant/ tiger sanctuary trips as well as two yoga classes a day, ayurvedic treatments and amazing AMAZING food! More details to follow, but if you are interested, do let me know.
I’d also like to offer an Introduction to Ashtanga course early this year. I would run this as a two week intensive, with classes starting 6.15am Mon-Fri. Ashtanga Yoga combines a series of predefined postures with flowing breath and movement. The combination increases strength, endurance and flexibility, aids the removal of toxins and emotional blocks. The practice was codified by Sri K Pattabhi Jois in Mysore, India. This two-week course will introduce the Primary Series. You can find more information at the website of the school where I studied Ashtanga Yoga in Perth: http://www.8limbs.com/yogaLet me know if you’re interested!

That’s all my news, for now. Enjoy the weekend and see you on Monday!
